Lineage Sanando generaciones
I am a Mexicana, first-generation Latina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Raíces y Almas Unidas Counseling, PLLC. I was born and raised in Pilsen, a predominantly immigrant neighborhood in Chicago, where my lived experiences as a minority, middle-class student in public schools deeply shaped my passion for advocacy, healing, and breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma.
My work is grounded in culturally responsive, bilingual (English and Spanish) therapy that honors identity, values, and lived experience. I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, and families who are navigating relational challenges, life transitions, cultural stressors, and patterns rooted in generational and relational trauma. I believe healing begins when clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to reconnect with themselves and their relationships.
As a therapist, I integrate evidence-based practices with a systemic and culturally affirming lens. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their stories, strengthen communication, and build healthier patterns across generations. My approach is compassionate, intentional, and rooted in the belief that change is possible.
This work is personal to me. My journey serves as a reminder to my clients and community that healing, growth, and transformation are attainable—que sí se puede.
